Valerie Fordham

Also known as Mouse. I started making jewelry when I couldn't find something I wanted to wear, so I made it myself. It began with beads. I strung them, I netted them, I crocheted them and peyote stitched. I tried my hand at lampworking. Then I took a silversmithing class and fell in love with metal. I do my own casting and fine silver granulation. I love the sound the torch makes when it fires up. I'm still trying to make what I don't find anywhere else and am pretty sure you'll find some unique things here, too. I'm open to custom work, depending on my schedule. Just ask if you'd like something in particular and I'll see what I can do.

I've been working in wood and building cabinets and furniture professionally for 14 years and wanted a creative outlet that would allow me to expand the materials I used and provide me a freer hand in design elements. I'm a lover of history and like to fuse styles and design elements. Everything I make is unique but I can happily make similar items if you see something you like.
